1.survey n.调查

e.g. Last night he stayed up late to write the report of his survey.昨天晚上他写调查报告熬夜到很晚。

2. 复习help的用法

1) help sb.(to)do sth 帮助某人做某事

2) help sb. with sth.在某事上帮助某人

e.g. He often helps me with my math. / to learn math.

3) help oneself to sth.随便吃某物

4) help sb. out帮助某人克服困难/摆脱困境

5) can't help doing sth.忍不住做某事

e.g. I can’t help crying when seeing the sad movie.

6) with the help of sb./ with one's help在某人的帮助下

e.g. His English has improved with the help of the teacher.

3. standard n标准;水平

e.g. We must raise the living standard of the people.我们必须提高人民的生活水平。

4. be strict with sb. 对某人要求严格

be strict about/ in sth. 对某事要求严格

e.g. Our English teacher is strict with us, and she is also very strict about/ in her work.

7. 复习advise的用法

1) advise sb.(not) to do sth.建议某人(不要)做某事

e.g. My parents advised me not to go out at night.我父母建议我晚上不要外出。

2) advise doing sth.建议做某事

e.g. I advised giving the money to Project Hope.我建议将这笔钱给希望工程。

3) advise+that从句”建议[“ should+动词原形”]

e.g. The man advises that we (should) walk on the other side of the road.那个人建议我们走在路的另一边。

8. method n. 方法;措施

10. 复习patient 的用法

1）adj. 能忍耐的;有耐心的 be patient with sb. 对...有耐心

e.g. She is very patient with everyone. 她对每个人都十分有耐心。

2) cn. 病人

e.g. The hospital is full of patients.医院里满是病人。
